CIPROM (Centre for Intellectual Property Management) was founded in 2000/2001 by Dr. Gopakumar G. Nair as Secretary General.   Ciprom is a registered Charitable Trust having Regn. No. F-24933 (Mumbai).   Ciprom has been engaged in Intellectual Property Dissemination, Proficiency creation, and policy-making advisory services, ever since.   The first IP workshop was organized by CIPROM jointly with CII at the World Trade Centre on August 10, 2001.   Ciprom has organized many workshops and seminars, thereafter.   Many representations have been made to the Ministry of Commerce, DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) and to the office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks.   CIPROM continues to play an important role in Intellectual Property Dissemination, Proficiency creation, and policy-making advisory services.
